'Life Began (In a Deep Space)' 2021

This oil painting was inspired by deep sea hydrothermal vents where life exists in abundance despite the extreme conditions. It evoked thought about the beginning of life on this planet in the oceans, and the way the Earth itself formed in the harsh conditions of space.
